Worship at St Mary's

Regular services take place at St Mary's Gillingham as described below

There are also many one-off special services which can be found on the EVENTS page.

The services are for all. Refreshments are available in the Vicarage School Room after the 10 a.m. Sunday service.

The clergy or lay pastoral assistants are happy to visit anyone who is unable to come to church and to administer home communion.

11 a.m.     On the first Sunday of the Month there is also an Informal and Interactive Service at 11.00am in St Mary's School Hall, Pheasant Way, Gillingham


10 a.m      On the third Sunday of the Month, 10am Holy Communion at St Mary's Church includes 'Your Choice' in the Vicarage School Room for all ages in place of the sermon.

Holy Tuesday 27 March

10.30am  Holy Communion            7.30pm Night Prayer  Luke 23:43 "Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise."

Holy Wednesday 28 March

10.30am  Holy Communion             7.30pm Night Prayer  Luke 23: 46 "Father, into your hands I commend my spirit."

Maundy Thursday 29 March

6.00pm  Fellowship Meal and Holy Communion with Gillingham Methodist Church in the Vicarage School Room followed by Gethsemane prayers in the garden (churchyard). Stripping the altar and vigil until 10.00pm.

30 March  Good Friday

11.00am  Churches Together Walk of Witness. Procession starts at The Barn Surgery car park.  2.00pm  The Good Friday Liturgy at St Mary's, Gillingham and St Simon & St Jude, Milton on Stour

31 March  Holy Saturday

10.00am  Building the Easter Garden and decorating the church.  10.00am  Meditation in the Vicarage School Room.  8.00pm  Easter Eve Service of Light and Vigil

Informal worship for all ages together in the School Hall, beginning with coffee and cake,  on the first Sunday of every month at 11.00am.   All welcome, nought to a hundred, especially newcomers.
