Each night we have enjoyed Night Prayer at St Mary’s Gillingham, with a reflection on some aspect of Jesus’ journey to the cross; and we have joined together in Compline at St Nicholas, Silton. It has been a journey together.
Thursday evening a traditional service of Holy Communion for Maundy Thursday was held at St Nicholas, and a special meal and Eucharist in St Mary’s Hall and Church,
followed by the opportunity to respond to Jesus’ question Will you not wait with me one hour?
Joining in with services during Holy Week helps us to enter into those last days of Jesus and together move towards the day of resurrection and celebrate all the more for having travelled through the painful parts too. There are still opportunities to join in with the journey
