The Church is Changing in response to Coronavirus

In light of the Government guidance around non-essential contact, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have issued advice that public worship is suspended until further notice. Our churches will remain open as a space for quiet reflection, prayer or simply to sit and be still and find some peace and quiet.  Anyone visiting a church building is advised to follow all the current NHS and government guidelines with regard to social distancing.

The rhythm of prayer and worship will continue in our church buildings but in new ways. Regular services will be said by clergy and ministers on behalf of everyone, as well as prayer and worship continuing in peoples homes and workplaces and outdoors as it always has.  Some churches are live streaming or recording and posting services. Please visit or for live links.

We will keep you posted as new patterns or worship, prayer and service emerge here.  The best way to keep unto date is to sign up to our e-mail updates, if you’d like to be included in that mailing please e-mail

As a church community we will be joining in caring for our communities with practical kindness and aim to keep connected by phone and e-mail.

If you would like support spiritually or practically please be in touch.

If you would like to help those who are self isolating or who are in a vulnerable position please be in touch. We are working with the Town Council and other community groups to make sure no one need feel they are completely alone.
