Day 91  Revd Tim Heaton’s Though for the Day

Last Friday we took the cat to the vet for her annual health check and booster jabs. Having been told to knock on the door and wait outside, we were greeted by the vet in full PPE – face mask, visor, apron and gloves. Pets, we’re told, can pass on the virus.

The instant I saw her (the vet, that is) I was reminded of the passage in Ephesians about the “whole armour of God”: the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit.

What protection we have!  “Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power” (Ephesians 6:10).
